The NDEC offers support for all ages, from primary, right through to further education.
The education and outreach project sits within the main NDEC programme to address the skills requirements associated with digital growth and transformation across South East Wales. Primarily focused on schools, but also engaging with other individuals and SMEs, it aims to increase the number of people in the region who either:
Outreach for primary and secondary students, and those in further education
Outreach for adults looking to enter employment or retrain
Basic cyber skills training and awareness for individuals & SMEs
Scoping and development of alternative routes into cyber and wider digital industries
Development of links between industry and education
The project designs and delivers its own activities, whilst also working collaboratively with projects of similar objectives. It also helps to facilitate outreach for other relevant businesses and promote existing cyber initiatives across Wales, such as those already delivered by the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) CyberFirst programme.
We are always looking for support from business within the cyber and digital sectors in Wales. If you want to get involved with our education work and help to inspire the next generation of cyber talent, please get in touch with us, or click below to find out more.
